In Panama, a minibus driver lost control of the steering wheel and collided with a bus stop located on the shoulder of the Inter-American Highway, in the district of San Carlos, province of West Panama. There were nine people in the vehicle involved in the accident, who were unharmed despite the violent crash into the concrete structure. A woman who was in the bus shelter at the time of the accident was taken to the 'Dr. Juan Vega Méndez' policlinic of the Social Security Fund (CSS) for a medical check-up. Paramedics from the Unique Emergency Management System (SUME) 011 and the ALPHA ambulance service evaluated the nine occupants of the minibus, determining that they did not require transfer to a medical center.
